Final calculations from the play-out – Dinamo1948

The play-out final is more tense than ever. Five teams are fighting for a directly salvageable place and another two for the play-off.

The 15th and 16th places will be relegated directly to League II. The difference between FC Voluntari, above relegation, and FC U Craiova, in last place, is only 3 points.

DINAMO BUCHAREST – 15th place (retrogradeable), 20 points
Dinamo has an advantageous schedule: two matches at home, against FC Voluntari, one of the contenders, and against UTA Arad, in the last stage, a team that will probably be thinking about the holiday, especially since they do not have a UEFA license and the players will be thinking on vacation. The away match is against “U” Cluj who will most likely play in the Conference League play-off. Dinamo has the advantage of equal points only with FC Botoșani.

FC VOLUNTARI – 12th place (salvageable), 22 points
Dinamo has a huge opportunity to manage the last two stages with a one-point advantage over FC Voluntari. But for that, Kopic’s team must win on Friday. FC Voluntari has another very difficult match: away against FC Botoșani. For Dinamo, of course, it would be best to end in a draw, but the other option would be a victory for FC Voluntari, if we go by the premise that FC Botoșani will win the next match against Petrolul Ploiești, away.

Besides, the Ilfovenians have another very interesting match in the last stage: at home with “U” Cluj. We can go on the same premise as here, that “U” Cluj will not shoot too hard because they already know that they will play in the Conference playoff, but let’s not forget that the Ilfovenians are the ones who took them out of the top 6. Of course, the same can be said by those from Arad towards us, but they also depended on other results, while the people from Cluj were in their hands. With equal points, FC Voluntari has an advantage over all, because they did not have the points halved.

FC BOTOțANI – 13th place (barrage), 21 points
FC Botoșani, the most fit team among the five, will have 2 away matches, against Petrolul and Oțelul, both without too important a goal, and in between the home match against FC Voluntari. Even if two out of three matches are away, it will be a bit difficult to overcome the Moldovans, especially since we no longer have a direct match with them and the most important match is at home. The biggest advantage is that we would finish above them with equal points, as otherwise FC Botoșani has no advantage with anyone in this aspect.

Poli Iasi – 14th place (barrage), 21 points
Poli Iasi has a clear schedule on their side: two matches at home, against UTA Arad and Petrolul Ploiești, and away with FC Hermannstadt. There is a chance that they will mess up in the penultimate leg with Hermannstadt, but the advantage of having two games at home is very important for them. Iași have an equal points advantage with all, except FC Voluntari.

FC U Craiova – 16th place (retrogradable), 19 points
FC U Craiova has the smallest chance of avoiding relegation, but the schedule is not necessarily on their side either. Of course, they have two matches at home, against “U” Cluj and FC Hermannstadt, and in between the away match against UTA Arad. Unlike Poli Iași, FC U Craiova is not in their hands at all and they really need all the front to get confused, plus they have a good to very good course. FC U Craiova does not have an advantage in points tie only against FC Voluntari and Poli Iași.
