Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov was asked by journalists on Thursday whether Putin plans to meet the relatives of the 143 dead and 360 injured after last Friday’s attack at the Crocus City Hall concert hall. Putin did not go to Crocus City Hall “so as not to interfere with the work” of rescuers, he replied.
“Regarding the families and relatives of the victims, a very close work was organized with them by all the relevant services and specialists. All this was done in no time. This work continues,” the Kremlin spokesman claimed. “If contacts are needed, we will inform you,” he added, quoted by France-Presse.
Some publications in Russia are wondering why Putin has not yet gone to the site of the terrorist attack near Moscow that was claimed by the Islamic Khorasan State jihadist group.
