The war in Ukraine will end when the United States and its European allies stop providing financial support to Ukraine, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said Friday on the Kossuth radio station, where he also said that Ukraine is an economically non-existent country, according to the TASS agency.

“Ukraine is an economically non-existent country, and the question is whether we will save Ukraine. The moment the United States and the European Union decide to stop funding Ukraine, the war will end,” Viktor Orban said on Kossuth radio station, according to TASS.

“At the moment, the situation is different: Hungarian taxpayers also support Ukraine through the common budget of the European Union. So it’s bad that the Hungarian minority is still being harassed in Ukraine,” Orban said.

He believes that salaries and pensions in Ukraine are paid thanks to financial aid from the US and the EU, which also contributes to the functioning of the administration and health system in this country.

“Obviously, this situation cannot continue for a long time,” the prime minister from Budapest also pointed out.

According to the Hirado.hu report, Viktor Orban believes that the money that goes to support Ukraine is destroying Europe’s security and economy.

Viktor Orban is known for his positions at odds with those adopted by the EU and the US. He is not only opposed to supporting Ukraine, but also to sanctioning Russia, arguing that an escalation could lead to nuclear war.

“The war is becoming more and more brutal and yet the number of European countries and leaders who support peace is not increasing at all”, appreciating, however, that at the same time “the people of Europe have started to move towards an armistice and peace negotiations, under the conditions that the number of victims increases”.
