Hundreds of pensioners from the Oltenia Complex sued the Pension House, and most of them won in court to have their pensions recalculated.

However, the representatives of the Gorj Pension House did not take into account the court decisions. The PSD MP Claudiu Manta believes that it got here because the court rulings were not clear. The parliamentarian states that it is a criminal act to disobey a court decision and that the officials who do not take into account the decisions of the courts should “go home”.

“I said it and I say it again, Laws no. 197/2021 and no. 74/2022 were initiated and voted by the PSD. (…) It is true that these laws had some application problems. Unfortunately, the officials of the Pension House saw this law enforcement in a certain sense. I can tell you that once there is a court ruling, it must be respected in this area. It is mandatory for every official. It is a criminal offense to disobey a court order. I say it with all my might. Whoever does not respect a court order goes home. It is very clear. I don’t think there is any way to dispute this. The message is very clear. As long as this court ruling exists and one of the officials from the Pension House or from any other field does not respect it, it is very clear that that official will go home. Unfortunately, from what I understand, until now, these court decisions have not always been very clear. That is, they gave part of the benefits, in addition to the 52-year reduction in the retirement age. The other benefits were not granted all the time or were granted partially through these court decisions,” the parliamentarian says.

Some trade union leaders from EC Oltenia demanded the resignation of the heads of the Gorj Pension House after the problems arising from the application of Law no. 197/2021. Claudiu Manta says that anyone can be held accountable, if violations are found.
