Either us, or Flavia Boghiu

The leader of the PSD Group in the Brasov City Council, Alexandra Crivineanu, as well as the PNL local councilor Pamela Diaconu, ask the Brasov vice-mayor Flavia Boghiu (who is on medical leave) to keep his promise and resign. Thus, the representatives of the two parties recalled on Thursday morning that Flavia Boghiu promised on February 6, 2024 that, in case she will be sent to court in the “Catacomb File”, she will resign from the position of deputy mayor and from that of local councilor.
“Vice mayor Flavia Boghiu did not keep her promise. We will not participate in the meetings of the Local Council convened by Allen Coliban until Flavia Boghiu resigns, as she publicly promised, and the position of deputy mayor is vacant”said Crivineanu.
Also, Pamela Diaconu stated that Flavia Boghiu has her employment contract suspended, being on medical leave. “For her and the child’s health, I think it’s good for her to take a step back”declared Pamela Diaconu.
We remind you that on April 23, Flavia Boghiu and Cristine Manolache (head of the Heritage Administration and Commercial Urbanism Service within the Braşov City Hall) were sent to court, being accused of acts of corruption. According to anti-corruption prosecutors, “between April 1 and October 10, 2021, the two suspects, in violation of the duties provided for by the primary legislation and without the approval of the public deliberative authority (Local Council), would have allowed, illegally and free of charge, an association to use the building called “Catacombe Braşov”, owned by the Braşov City Hall, for the organization of events. Through the actions mentioned above, a total damage of 304,010 lei would have been caused to the City Hall of Braşov, at the same time as obtaining an undue benefit, in the same amount, for the respective association”.
