To mark Europe Day, at the initiative of the Timisoara City Hall, the consuls of EU states will visit schools to discuss the countries they represent and to familiarize students with the role and importance of consulates. In the context of Europe Day, this initiative also aims to give students the opportunity to better understand European values ​​and institutions.

These consular visits to schools in Timișoara will take place until the end of May. Through them, students will have the opportunity to discover what a consulate means and what is its role in international relations. Also, interesting details about the specifics and traditions of each country represented by a consul will be presented, thus contributing to the diversification of their cultural knowledge. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions of the consuls and participate in various activities.

“The initiative marks an important step in promoting awareness and understanding of European values ​​among young people, thus contributing to building a more united and prosperous society in Europe”, transmits the Municipality.

Timișoara City Hall’s partners in this action are the Administration for Health and Education of the Municipality of Timișoara, the House of Culture of the Municipality of Timișoara, consulates and educational institutions.
