A 61-year-old woman was transported to the hospital after being hit by a car on Calea Dumbrăvii in Sibiu, Elena Welter, spokesperson for IPJ Sibiu, announced on Thursday. She crossed the crossing without getting off her bike.

Traffic in the area is difficult.

“The first investigations carried out showed that, while crossing the road on a bicycle, on the pedestrian crossing located near the intersection with Matei Millo street, a 61-year-old woman, a foreign citizen, was hit by a car driven by a 33-year-old man from Șura Mică,” the quoted source said.

A SMURD crew with a doctor gave the woman first aid. She suffered a head trauma and is transported to UPU Sibiu, conscious.
