UPDATE The man who threatened to throw himself from the floor of a parking lot at a mall in Sector 2 was taken into custody by the police and transported to a medical unit for specialized care, informs the press office of the General Directorate of the Bucharest Municipality Police .

A team of negotiators talked with the man, while the staff of the Bucharest-Ilfov Emergency Situations Inspectorate installed the pneumatic mattress provided, which is used in height alerts.

“We thank our colleagues from the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations for a common, successful mission,” the quoted source says.

Initial news: A 36-year-old man threatens to throw himself from the floor, on Thursday, in the parking lot of a shopping center in Sector 2 of the Capital. Teams of negotiators and from the Service for Special Actions were called there.

“On May 9, 2024, around 4:40 p.m., the Capital Police – Section 9 was informed, by calling SNUAU 112, about the fact that a 36-year-old man was in the parking lot of a commercial complex in Sector 2, on a higher floor and threatens to collapse”, reported the Capital Police.

The police crews arrived there found that the report was confirmed and started the checks.

Negotiators and assault teams from the Special Actions Service were requested there.
