The management of RETIM took several measures with immediate implementation, after some employees went on strike

Taking into account the unjustified interruption of work by some employees of the Sanitation Department 1 of the RETIM company, who in the last week either did not work or did not respect the waste collection schedule, the company’s management took some measures.

Although the legal procedures were not respected and there was a collective labor contract in force binding for the company and employees, the RETIM Ecologic Service SA company invited the RETIM Ecologic Service SA Free Trade Union and the striking employees to a dialogue, in order to de-escalate the situation. Following these discussions, the company RETIM Ecologic Service SA communicates the following measures with immediate implementation:

 Appointment of a new Head of Sanitation Section 1 to coordinate the activities of the staff responsible for sanitation services in Timiș Zone 1;

 Increasing the salary of drivers by 1,000 net lei;

 Increasing the salary of serving staff (loaders) by 246 lei net.

RETIM mentions that it is also in the process of adjusting salaries within the company and for the other categories of employees in order to ensure equal treatment.

“The company apologizes to all citizens affected by the discomfort created in the last week and assures them that it has taken the necessary measures to resume work, understanding the priority importance of citizens’ access to a sanitation service carried out in the optimal parameters for waste collection activities in Zone 1 Timiș, including the Municipality of Timișoara. RETIM uses a technological system to identify, recognize and count the routes traveled by the staff on the route, using an approved monitoring system, all employees being informed in this regard, according to the legal provisions in force”. send the representatives of RETIM.

To remedy the created situation, RETIM informs the public that it has mobilized additional collection crews from other operating areas.
