Two young men, investigated for game poaching, were detained by the police

The policemen from the Teleorman Weapons, Explosives and Dangerous Substances Service ordered the detention of a 26-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, both from Teleorman county, investigated in a criminal case drawn up under the aspect of committing the crime of game poaching .

Following the administration of the evidence, it was established that, on May 8, around 11:30 p.m., a man from Dobrotești commune, Merișani village, and a woman from Drăgănești de Vede commune, Văcărești village, using three dogs of the greyhound breed and a projector, allegedly committed acts of poaching in the outskirts of the village of Văcărești, leaving the scene of the crime, being later identified by the policemen from the 4th Rosiori de Vede Rural Police Section on DJ 612, towards Sfințești.

The rabbit’s body was removed, and the three greyhound dogs were left in the custody of the game warden.

Later, on May 9, 2024, the police ordered the detention of the investigated persons, who were placed in the Detention and Preventive Arrest Center within the Teleorman County Police Inspectorate.

The investigations are continued under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Roșiori de Vede Court.
