The Tudor Arghezi metro station, located on the M2 Berceni-Pipera highway, was inaugurated in mid-November 2023. It has an area of over 15,000 square meters and is the only above-ground metro station in the Capital built on two floors.

The station is a multimodal transport hub, being directly connected by an underground pedestrian tunnel to the nearby multi-storey car park with a capacity of 350 spaces, where people coming from out of town can safely leave their cars to continue their journey travel to the center of the Capital using the metro.

The station is located 1.6 kilometers from the Berceni station and approximately 800 meters from the Ring Road. It is equipped with five pedestrian access areas, seven escalators, and seven elevators. At the same time, it is equipped with fire detection units, burglar alarm and air treatment systems.

The works for the extension of the M2 line towards the Capital Ring and Berceni started in January 2021. The total cost of the Tudor Arghezi metro station was approximately 50 million euros, financed by European grants.
