Braşov City Hall launched the call for projects financed from the local budget, through the Sports Guide. According to the Braşov City Hall announcement, the total amount allocated for the projects aimed at mass and performance sports amounts to 2 million lei, and associations and foundations that have the legal right to access funds can submit applications until May 31, 12:00. The projects can be submitted online, on the www.primariabrasovenilor.ro platform, Finances/Sports section, or physically – Brasov City Hall, Citizens’ Information Center.

The money can also be received by associations outside Braşov
According to the explanations of the mayor of Brasov, Allen Coliban, through this year’s edition of the Guide, the funding for the organization of sports competitions is separated from that for the training of athletes. “The guide also allows those from outside Brasov to access funds, with the mandatory condition that the activities take place in the municipality of Brasov, and simplifies the way of drawing up the budget. At the same time, the projects for children and juniors have reserved at least 30% of the funds both for performance sports and for the field aimed at mass sports”, stated Allen Coliban.

Maximum 90% from the local budget
For the “Performance Sports” field, 70% of the total budget is allocated, respectively 1,400,000 lei. At least 30% of the funds, respectively 420,000 lei, are money intended for projects for children and juniors.
For the “Table Sports” field, 30% of the total budget is allocated, respectively 600,000 lei. At least 30% of the funds, respectively 180,000 lei, are money intended for projects for children and juniors.
The amount of financing that the municipality can grant is a maximum of 90% of the project value. The rest of the amount will have to be provided by the applicant.
The maximum value of a project, for the “Performance Sports” funding line, is 200,000 lei, and for “Mass Sports”, 100,000 lei.
