Hip hop fans are invited at the end of this week to a show that will take place in the Faber courtyard with one of the representative artists of the Romanian underground rap: Omu Gnom. In the opening of the show, DJ Undoo and MCs United from Timisoara will be present (Gemini JAXX x Kaos INK x Kara x Megga Dillah x DJ Mack).
During the concert, Omu Gnom will make a foray into almost all of his albums, a best of so far, from “Ai hailay sa n ai griji” to songs from the last material released at the end of 2023, “Entre Timp”. Recognized for the rigor and complexity of his writing, Omu Gnom is one of the longest-lived representatives of the Romanian underground, having over 20 albums, many of them becoming classics.
It’s been four years this year since Omu Gnom produces and presents every Thursday, on Radio Guerrilla, Muzică de pus pe mêdures – the only show of conscious and lyrical rap on Romanian FM.
DJ Undoo is a DJ and producer who pushes his limits. His career spans more than two decades and includes several albums, numerous collaborations and an extensive series of live events. Through versatility and consistency, Undoo has established itself as a reference name for hip-hop lovers in Romania. In addition to turntablism and music production, his skills extend to live performance, recording, mixing and mastering, editing, teaching and coaching.
The MCs United project was born a few years ago, after the HipHopTm collective from Timisoara released an original video, and the coordinator of these live sessions is MCx Woodie. In February of this year, the artist collective MCs United released the album “Collective”, which is a musical journey designed to highlight the unity of hip-hop culture, but also the distinct styles of each.
