The latest public information of the County Directorate of Statistics regarding the number of employees, salary earnings, unemployment rate and the number of unemployed in Bihor confirms the continuous trend of increasing the average salary.

According to DJS Bihor, which published the statistical data for the month of February this year, in the second month of 2024 the average gross salary was 6,670 lei, above the level of the previous month, January, when it was 6,596 lei.

Average gross wage earnings above the county average were achieved by employees in services (6,799 lei), and below this average by those in industry and construction (6,565 lei) and those in agriculture, forestry and fishing (5,465 lei).

As for the average net wage gain, in February it was 4,086 lei, above the level of 4,036 lei from the previous month.

Employees in industry and construction (4,146 lei) recorded average net salary gains above the county average, and those in services (4,064 lei) and those in agriculture, forestry and fishing (3,578 lei) below this level.

In the second month of this year, the workforce in Bihor was 185,262 people, 598 more than in the previous month. On the other hand, however, the number of unemployed people in the records was 4.64 people in February, increasing by 595 compared to January.

At the end of February, the unemployment rate in Bihor was 1.7%, in the previous month it was 1.5%.
