The women’s national team of the Netherlands defeated Romania on Monday, in Wijchen, score 3-2, in a friendly match. The tricolors will play another test match, also away, against Germany.

The score in sets was 25-20, 18-25, 25-17, 16-25, 15-13.

The Netherlands team won a bronze medal at the last edition of the European Championships and is preparing to participate in the Volleyball Nations League (VNL), while Romania will compete in the Golden League.

Another test match for Romania will take place on May 10, also away, in Potsdam, against the German national team.

The tricolors will play their first games in the Golden League at the tournament in the Czech Republic (May 16-18), with Austria and the host national team.

There will be three tournaments in the Golden League, the one in Teplice (Czech Republic), the second in Blaj and the third in Gijon (Spain). Romania will meet Austria, the Czech Republic, Azerbaijan, Sweden, Croatia and Spain in the Golden League.

The first three places, plus the Czech Republic (organizing country) will qualify for the Final Tournament, which will be held on June 15-16.
