Klaus Iohannis left on Monday for a visit to the USA to be awarded at the “Atlantic Council”. According to BoardingPass, the head of state is using the same luxury plane with which he was last year in Africa and South Korea.
According to the quoted source, the President of Romania started his trip to the USA from Sibiu airport. The plane took off from the Sibiu airport on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 14:10 local time.
Previously, BoardingPass, an online publication specializing in aviation news, wrote that Iohannis will likely fly to Washington DC on a private Gulfstream G550 jet operated by Global Jet Luxembourg.
It would be the same plane with which the country’s president flew in 2023 on official trips to the United Arab Emirates (March 2023) and on the “African tour” of Kenya, Tanzania, Cape Verde and Senegal (November 2023), but also in April 2024 , in South Korea.
