The Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Prahova announced that in several localities in the county, an Orange Code for torrential downpours, electrical discharges and hail entered into force on Sunday.

The warning came into force at 19:30 and refers to “torrential showers that will accumulate 35…40 l/m2, frequent electrical discharges, wind intensifications, hail”.
The localities of Urlati, Boldești-Scăeni, Valea Călugărească, Bucov, Vărbilău, Gura Vitioarei, Albești-Paleologu, Lipănești, Măgurele, Vâlcănești, Cocorăștii Mislii, Dumbrăvești, Bălțești, Plopu are targeted.
A RO-Alert message has been issued
ISU Prahova stated that “an RO-Alert message was issued to warn the population” and also made some recommendations for citizens:
- Stop activities carried out in open ground or at height.
- Close all the windows of the house and other categories of construction.
- Avoid sheltering or passing near trees, poles, billboards, constructions with architectural elements that can be easily dislodged, as well as buildings under construction.
- Clean ditches and gutters to facilitate normal drainage of rainwater.
- In case of increased flows on certain watercourses, do not try to cross them and do not approach their banks.
- Follow radio/TV stations for weather reports and recommendations from the authorities.
