The Holy Light will be brought from Jerusalem on Saturday evening and will be offered to the delegates of the dioceses present at Otopeni Airport, announces the Romanian Patriarchate.

The Holy Light will be received at the Patriarchal Cathedral at 19.00, writes Mediafax. According to the Romanian Patriarchate, the tradition of bringing the Holy Light from Jerusalem, inaugurated by Father Patriarch Daniel in 2009, continues this year.

Thus, the Holy Light will be brought from Jerusalem, on the evening of Saturday, by Father Archimandrite Teofil Anăstăsoaie, and will be offered to the delegates of the dioceses of the Romanian Patriarchate present at the “Otopeni” International Airport. “Subsequently, the diocesan centers, through deanships, will distribute the Holy Light to each parish within them. And this year, the Holy Light will be taken, by means of a delegate of the Metropolis of Moldova and Bucovina, from Bucharest to Chisinau, where it will be offered to the parishes of the Metropolis of Bessarabia,” the Patriarchate reports.

On Saturday evening, around 19.00, the Holy Light will be received at the Patriarchal Cathedral by His Beatitude Father Patriarch Daniel.
