Why do teachers need to be well paid? Mircea Miclea explained in a G4Media/InspiRO podcast that education cannot be done without high-performing teaching staff. And an average net salary for a teacher should be between 1,500 and 1,800 euros.

Miclea, who initiated the most profound reform in education, centered on the needs of students, explained why he is one of the few ministers who resigned for a principle: he left the government because the government did not allocate 5% of the GDP for education.

In addition to entrepreneurship, the activity of a psychologist and that of a teacher, Mircea Miclea explains why he is also involved in civic causes. He put his shoulder to the concept of Via Transilvanica, and during the pandemic he supported mentally exhausted doctors to overcome moments of anxiety or depression, because only by reaching those next to us does life gain meaning.

In the interview for InspiRO/G4Media, Mircea Miclea spoke about the reform in education and about the interest groups that seized the education system. As for the educated Romania of Klaus Iohannis, Miclea said that it is one of the cases where “the ego quotient is greater than intelligence”.

In addition, he analyzed the “mental health crisis” and explained why the highest incidence of neurotic disorders, anxiety and depression fell towards the end of adolescence.
