The price of cottage cheese rose by 42 percent two days before Easter. If in April a kilogram of curd cost 35 lei, on Good Friday the price reached 50 lei. How manufacturers justify the increase in price and what customers say, find out in the following material.
On Good Friday, in the dairy hall in the central market of Suceava, most producers sold curd for 50 lei per kilogram, 15 lei more expensive than at the end of April and 5 lei compared to the first day of the current week.
Last year, on Good Friday, a kilogram of curd cost 70 lei in the big market in Suceava municipality. At lunchtime, only one trader was still in the dairy hall and there was no shortage of customers.

In 2016, he received the award for the journalism category in the “People of the Time” campaign. In 2020, he received the top prize “Honestly about poverty”, awarded by the “Renasis” Association.
