CS Mioveni defeated FC Miercurea Ciuc* today, more clearly than the score shows, although the match had no stake for the hosts, but only for the guests.
The match was basically solved by CS Mioveni after only 25 minutes from the start. The kid Remus Guțea, with a double, plus the veteran Ștefan Blănaru from the penalty, made it 3-0 after an excellent start by the people of Arges.
For FC Miercurea Ciuc it was vital to win this match, to have another chance of direct promotion, at the expense of those from Gloria Buzău. Those from Mioveni had lost their chances of direct promotion anyway and had little reason to kill themselves anymore.
However, at least in the first half, “the first Hungarian team to play in the Romanian Super League” (that’s how Richard Jelena, from Miercurea Ciuc, expressed himself in the Hungarian press) was unrecognizable.

However, CS Mioveni showed that it respects the idea of competition and played at full capacity. As if to prove to the UDMR/FIDESZ polytrick Zoltan Szondi, the director of FC Miercurea Ciuc, that he was wrong when he accused behind-the-scenes games against his team.
All in all, all the team from Harghita, coached by former speedster Robert Ilyes, could do was a goal of honor.
CS Mioveni deservedly won, especially if we take into account that the Argesians wasted another 4-5 great scoring opportunities. The footballers trained by Constantin Schumacher proved that they have character: they did not disregard the competition, but played, although the stake was missing.
