A less common road event took place in the afternoon of May 1 in the town of Pluton in the commune of Pipirig. A heavy tonnage truck loaded with vegetables lost control over the direction of travel and overturned in a ravine. Firefighters from ISU Neamț were requested to help, the call for help through the single emergency number 112 being registered in the dispatch center around 2:31 p.m.
Forces and means of intervention from SVSU Pipirig, SAJ Pipirig and the Târgu Neamț Fire Department moved to the place of the request. “Until the arrival of the military firefighters, the driver, who had fallen into the ravine, was pulled out by the traffic participants and the SAJ crew provided him with medical care. Later, the 25-year-old man was transported to the Târgu Neamț CPU”, announces ISU Neamț.
The military acted to ensure fire prevention and extinguishing measures. The traffic police are to establish the causes and conditions in which the accident occurred.
