Yesterday afternoon, military and volunteer firefighters intervened to extinguish three fires.

In the town of Gulioaia, approximately two hectares of reeds and four tons of fodder burned. Firefighters from the Trușești Intervention Guard and the Voluntary Service for Emergency Situations Dăngeni acted quickly so that the flames did not spread to an animal shelter, another fodder warehouse and a house. Two cattle were saved.

In Cătămărăști Vale, approximately 20 square meters of dry vegetation near a house burned. Firefighters from the Botoșani Detachment intervened, with a special water and foam extinguishing vehicle;

In Bobulești – the dry vegetation of approximately 1000 square meters burned. Firefighters from the Ștefăneşti Intervention Guard intervened, with a special water and foam extinguishing vehicle.

The probable cause of the fires was the use of open fire in open spaces.

According to environmental protection legislation, it is forbidden to burn stubble, brushwood, forest litter, reeds, brushwood or grassy vegetation.
