VIDEO: Suspect in the case of the murder of businessman Adrian Kreiner, lodged at IPJ Alba. Cristian Minae, brought under escort from Ireland

Marian Cristian Minae, the second suspect in the murder of businessman Adrian Kreiner, was brought to the country during the night of April 30, 2024, from Ireland. He arrived in Romania with an escort on a plane. From Bucharest airport, he was brought to IPJ Alba detention.

Although the file is under investigation at the Sibiu Police, the building where the remands are kept is under renovation. As a result, Minae was deposited in the detention center in Alba Iulia.

On Wednesday, May 1, 2024, Minae will be taken from Alba Iulia to the magistrates in Sibiu to be remanded in custody.

After the presentation before the magistrates in Sibiu, the man will most likely return to the preventive detention in Alba Iulia.

Trapped in Ireland

Minae, had a preventive arrest warrant issued in his name by the Sibiu Court. The man was identified following the exchange of information carried out by police officers from the Center for International Police Cooperation – IGPR with partners from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. He is to be incarcerated, in order to execute the warrant, for the continuation of the investigations.

At the same time, the Romanian Police continues specific activities to locate the third man suspected in the case.

On November 6, 2023, businessman Adrian Kreiner was beaten and robbed in his own home. Kreiner later died at the hospital. The thieves stole watches worth 200,000 euros. The businessman’s girlfriend and daughter were also in the house.

Two of the three men who allegedly beat and killed the businessman were caught in Great Britain, one in Scotland – Laurentiu Ghiţă, another in Northern Ireland – Marian Cristian Minae.

Laurentiu Ghita was brought to the country in December 2023.

The third man involved in the murder, Cosmin Costinel Zuleam, has not yet been caught.
