Six Ukrainian drones were “destroyed and intercepted” over Russian regions overnight, the Moscow Defense Ministry announced, reports BBC Russia.

Three of the drones were detected over the Voronezh region, one in Ryazan, one in Belgorod and one over the Kursk region.

Earlier, several Russian Telegram channels reported that drones attacked the oil refinery in Ryazan during the night.

In its message, the Russian Ministry of Defense did not comment on the information about the Ukrainian drone strike on the refinery.

ASTRA channel published a video showing a column of flames rising above Ryazan, stating that local residents reported a fire at the refinery.

The governor of Ryazan, Pavel Malkov, wrote on his Telegram channel that the region was subjected to “an attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle”.

“According to preliminary information, there are no victims, an investigation is underway,” Malkov said.

The refinery in Ryazan was also hit by Ukrainian drones on March 13. Reuters reported at the time that the strike forced the plant to shut down its two main processing units.
