CFR Călători announces that it will provide a special transport program on the occasion of the mini-holiday of May 1st and Easter, to facilitate the movement of passengers to their holiday destinations, but also to their homes.

Therefore, during the mini-holiday period 30 April/1 May – 6/7 May 2024, passengers have, in addition to the existing trains in the regular timetable, more connections to Constanta and the coastal resorts, including Mangalia, with direct trains from Bucharest Nord, Iasi, Suceava, Oradea, Arad, Craiova, Satu Mare, Baia Mare, Sighetu Marmaţiei, Bistriţa Nord, Cluj Napoca, Braşov, according to a company release.

Also, travelers from other regions have at their disposal a series of fast connections from the Capital, due to the existence of scheduled train travel (every 1-2 hours) on the route Bucharest North – Constanţa and back.

“On the days with increased traffic during this mini-holiday, CFR Călători makes available to the traveling public the maximum available technical transport capacity to ensure travel to the areas of interest located on the territory of the country. Passenger traffic will be carefully monitored and depending on the evolution and dynamics of demand of travel, the company will operatively supplement with wagons the trains that run to/from the most requested destinations within the limits of the available technical rolling stock”, says the CFR press release.

In order to have a predictability of the transport demand and to be able to adapt the transport capacity as best as possible to the number of seats requested, CFR Călători recommends passengers to buy their travel tickets in advance.

Thus, domestic traffic tickets can be purchased in advance, using the following sales channels: online, directly from www.cfrcalatori.ro; from the mobile application, from ticket machines in stations or directly from ticket offices in stations, CFR Călători travel agents and authorized distributors (travel agencies).

In addition, passengers can enjoy discounts of up to 10% when buying in advance or 10% discount if they opt for the return offer. Also, according to the law, students can travel for free, and students benefit from a 90% discount when traveling with 2nd class carriages.
