In the latest episode of “Sportcast with Sile”, an Orange Sport Podcast produced by Silviu Tudor Samuilă (43 years old), Ionuţ Chirilă (58 years old), one of the coaches who gave Romanian football great players, was invited value.
Ionuţ Chirilă is one of the Romanian coaches who has not yet been given the chance to coach at the highest level in Romanian football.
The club where he was the closest, as he himself admits, to being a coach of the senior team was Dinamo and not just once, but on several occasions.
Ionuţ Chirilă revealed that the first moment he was close to taking over Dinamo was in 1996, when he was only 30 years old, but had an impressive career behind him at the level of children and juniors.
Due to this experience that he had already acquired by that age, he was expected to take the step to the first team of the “dogs”, but this did not happen.
Another time when Ionuţ Chirilă was close to being Dinamo’s coach was in 2012, but even at the end of last year, after parting with Ovidiu Burcă.

In the current season, Dinamo has an extremely complicated situation regarding the fight for saving from relegation. It is now in direct retrogradable place.

At the age of 58, Ionuţ Chirilă was a senior coach at the following teams: Electromagnetica, CSM Focşani, Jiul Petroşani, UTA Arad, Concordia Chiajna, Poli Iaşi, ASA Târgu Mureş and Academica Clinceni. He is out of contract from December 2021.
