The man from Olt who killed his wife on Monday, April 29, 2024, in the street, was being investigated for rape. His daughter accused him in 2023 that in 2022, while they were together in Austria, he raped her. The girl has been in the care of DGASP for two months, where two other brothers have now also arrived.
A murder took place in the middle of the street, in the town of Drăgănești-Olt in Olt county. A 37-year-old man from Sprâncenata, Olt county, stabbed his wife, of the same age, several times, and she died shortly after at the hospital in Slatina.
The woman had called the Police the day before, announcing that she had a conflict with the man. The police showed up, spoke with the two and advised the woman to apply for a protection order. The woman refused, as she would have done the same thing in the past.
In this situation, the police would have insisted on taking the woman to her mother, in the town of Drăgănești, to avoid a rekindling of the scandal.
The next day, however, the man went to Dragănești, where, in the street, he argued with his wife again. He eventually pulled out a knife and stabbed her, after committing the deed he fled and was caught by the police a few blocks away.
Accused of raping his own daughter
The couple had five children together, four boys and one girl. The girl informed the police in July of last year that her father had raped her. The facts would have happened in 2022, while the daughter is with the man in Austria.
“On July 15, 2023, the Olt County Police Inspectorate was notified, by calling 112, by a minor, aged 14, from Sprâncenata commune, Olt county, regarding the fact that, during 2022, in while in Austria, she was allegedly raped and sexually assaulted by her 36-year-old father.
Taking into account the reported aspects, the police have drawn up a criminal file under the aspect of committing the crimes of rape and sexual assault, the investigations being continued to establish the factual situation and the disposition of legal measures.
Also after completing the risk assessment form regarding violence domestic, against the man, the police also issued a provisional protection order”, on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, the police from Olt communicated about this case.
The girl ended up in the care of the General Directorate of Assistance and Child Protection (DGASPC) Olt, but not after the accusations were made, but half a year later, in February of this year.
After the children’s mother died as a result of her injuries, a mobile intervention team from DGASPC Olt intervened and took over two other brothers of the girl, aged 8 and 10, respectively. The older boys, aged 14 and 17, remained in the care of their paternal grandparents with whom they have an attachment relationship, state the representatives of DGASPC Olt.
