Hundreds of Albaiulians were with the mayor of Alba Iulia who led his mother on her last journey
The funeral of Maria Pleșa, the mother of the mayor of Alba Iulia, took place today, April 30, at the Municipal Cemetery in Alba Iulia.

On April 26, 2024, the mother of Mayor Gabriel Pleșa died. Maria Pleșa had been ill for some time, and had recently undergone a surgical intervention, but her health condition had worsened in the last few days.
Today, April 30, the funeral took place at the Municipal Cemetery, after the vigil on Saturday, Sunday and Monday respectively. Hundreds of Albaiulians were with the mayor of Alba who led his mother on her last journey.
“After Dad, Mom also left today. Heartbreaking, terrible, the feeling of being an orphan! Rest, Mother! Rest in peace, Mother! Watch over us, Mother!
On the way to Heaven, forgive us, Mother!” the mayor wrote on the Facebook page.
