Tender for the rehabilitation of “Ana Aslan” College, from Timisoara | TIMPOLIS

Timișoara City Hall announces a tender for the energy rehabilitation of the “Ana Aslan” National College building. Almost eight million lei are needed to carry out the rehabilitation works of the roof and to restore the heating, electrical and sanitary installations.

This is the first building that will enter the tender procedure among those for which the local administration obtained funding through the PNRR 2020-2026. The estimated date for the publication of the notice of participation is May 15. Once works are contracted, they have a 12-month completion period.

“We are preparing the tender to find a builder for the thermal rehabilitation of the building built in 1950. If the procedure goes smoothly, this year we can start the work, which would take about a year. We invest 20% of Timișoara’s development budget in education so that all students in Timișoara have modern study conditions, regardless of whether they study at a neighborhood school or a central one“, declares the mayor Dominic Fritz.

The rehabilitation of “Ana Aslan” College consists in the thermal insulation of the building, thus providing increased thermal comfort and better learning conditions for almost 450 students. Through this project, it is aimed to reduce the costs for heating the building and renovating 13 classrooms, 5 laboratories, 3 school offices, the gym, the library, the medical laboratory and the psychological laboratory. The investment includes thermal insulation works, the replacement of the carpentry with a heat-insulating one and the modernization of the electrical and thermal installations, which will lead to a 50% improvement in energy efficiency and a 50% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions.

Timișoara City Hall reminds that it invests significantly in improving the education infrastructure in the city, in order to create modern conditions for students and to reduce the costs of maintenance and utilities, paid from the local budget.
