A 70-year-old man was caught red-handed by the police in the Capital after stealing a mobile phone and a wallet from a cart.
The incident took place in a shop in Sector 2.
The thief, detained for 24 hours
On Saturday, April 27, the officers of the Police Brigade for Public Transport caught red-handed and subsequently detained a 70-year-old man, suspected of committing a crime of theft.
Thus, around 11:30, the 70-year-old man was caught red-handed, immediately after stealing a mobile phone and a wallet containing money and personal documents, from the stroller of the grandson of a 52-year-old woman years, while they were in a shop, with a working point in a square in Sector 2.
The suspect was immobilized and taken to hearings, and based on the evidence administered, he was detained for 24 hours.
Later, the measure of judicial control was ordered against him for 60 days.
Also, the damage in the amount of approximately 3,000 lei was recovered and handed over to the injured person.
The investigations are continued by the Police Brigade for Public Transport, under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Court of District 2, under the aspect of committing the crime of theft.
