Two fires occurred in Vânători Neamț commune this weekend. The first incident took place at the chimney of a guesthouse, and the second, more serious, at a house, with suspicions of intentional arson.
The first incident occurred on the evening of April 27, 2024, at 8:58 p.m., when firefighters were alerted to a fire in the chimney of a guesthouse.

“On 27.04.2024, at 8:58 p.m., the firefighters were notified of a fire in the chimney of a boarding house in Vânători Neamț commune.
Forces and means of intervention from the Târgu-Neamț Fire Department were assigned to the place of the request.
By the time the firefighters arrived, 8 people (4 employees and 4 tourists) had self-evacuated. No one required medical attention.
Firefighters acted to locate and extinguish the fire, which burned the soot inside the chimney.
The uncleaned chimney was the probable cause of the fire.” – ISU Neamt sent
The next day, on April 28, at 4:56 p.m., the same fire department was called to intervene in another fire at a home in the same commune.
“On 28.04.2024, at 4:56 p.m., the firefighters were requested to intervene in the commune of Vânători Neamț to extinguish a fire at a house.
Forces and means of intervention from the Târgu-Neamț Fire Department were assigned to the place of the request.
When the firemen arrived, the fire manifested itself with an open flame and a large release of smoke in a room of the house with possibilities of generalization. After unlocking the access road, action was taken to locate and extinguish the fire, which burned furniture, textile materials and household items inside the room.
Intentional action was the probable cause of the fire.” – ISU Neamț also specified
