Four searches were carried out on Monday in Prahova, on persons accused of having misled several commercial companies from which they had purchased goods, causing a damage of over 350,000 lei.
“On the morning of April 29, the police officers of the Criminal Investigation Service of the Prahova County Police Inspectorate executed four home search warrants, on persons investigated for committing crimes of fraud and computer falsification, in Prahova County”, informs the IGPR.
The research showed that the individuals would have misled several commercial companies, by means of fictitious e-mail addresses, and would have purchased goods, thus creating a damage to them of over 350,000 lei.
Five people will be taken to the headquarters of the police unit for questioning.
The researches are continued within a criminal file regarding the commission of the crimes of deception and computer forgery.
Specialist support was provided by the Special Operations Directorate within the Romanian Police. The actions benefited from the support of the fighters of the Special Actions Service from Prahova and the gendarmes from the “Matei Basarab” Mobile Gendarmerie Group of Ploiesti.
