The iron bridge between Moara Noua and Rachieri is about to fall. Mayor: “The Prefecture considered that it was not an emergency”

--

The bridge can break at any moment

Following the publication of the article “The iron bridge between Moara Nouă and Rachieri, a real danger for the locals: “It can break in two at any time”, the City Hall of Valea Călugărească reacted stating that “unfortunately, the Prahova Prefect’s Institution attacked the Prahova County Council’s decision through that we were given money, 1,500,000 lei (including for the Rachieri bridge) on the grounds that the largest sums were allocated to the PNL mayors and that it is not an emergency. In the end, the money was allocated, in an extraordinary and not ordinary meeting.

The bridge that connects the villages of Moara Nouă (Berceni) and Rachieri (Valea Călugărească) represents a real danger for those who cross it.

A reader sent us several pages of the metal deck that appears to be disintegrating.

“It’s got a little bit left and it’s breaking in half. It’s a real danger,” the reader told us.

In reply, the mayor Ioana Neagu specified: “We drew up the technical expertise report in 2021. All steps were taken to issue the Construction Authorization from the Prahova County Council. In the meeting of the Prahova County Council on 15.04.2024, the amount of 1,500,000 lei (15 billion old) was allocated for the commune of Valea Călugărească, for the following works:

-Dârvari human dispensary 650,000 lei

– Rachieri Bridge 650,000 lei

– Paving the bypass road from the Agricultural High School to the Stadium (Eforiei) – 200,000 lei

Unfortunately, the Prahova Prefect’s Institution attacked the Prahova County Council Decision on the grounds that the largest sums were allocated to the PNL mayors and that it does not represent an emergency. In the end, they allocated themselves in extraordinary and not ordinary session.

If in the 2021 expert reports, the Pantazi Bridge was declared in an advanced state of degradation, and the one in Rachieri did not present a major danger, as only one pillar needed to be strengthened, how do you explain that in the last 10 years no no one reported and “everything was good and beautiful”??”.
