The Artehnis company will prepare the geotechnical study for the investment objective “Palace of Justice Vrancea (Vrancea Courthouse and Focșani Court)”, Lupeni str. no. 7, Focșani Municipality, Vrancea County. It is about a contract put up for auction by the National Investment Company (CNI) that provides financing for the investment objective mentioned above.

According to the documentation, the Vrancea Palace of Justice will consist of three building bodies with a mezzanine, a ground floor and an attic, reaching up to 6 floors, on the principle that the seat of a court must be a representative building for the city, which must enjoys visibility. The Vrancea Court will operate within the building – on an area of 6,225 square meters, but also the Focșani Court on an area of 5,809 square meters.

The proposed ensemble can be made up of bodies with a lower height, adapted to the function, but it is recommended to create a height-accent body that makes the construction visible from the adjacent streets and that rises up to a height of 30 meters, dominating the constructions in the immediate vicinity neighborhood of the complex, whose height is P+3, P+4+M, P+5. As far as possible, the courtrooms of the tribunal and the court will be designed on the ground floor of the court, possibly the first floor”, it is stated in the design theme of the future Palace of Justice in Focșani.

In total, the Vrancea Court will have 8 courtrooms, while the Focșani Court will have 9 courtrooms. The building also provides for lawyers to have separate rooms, with their own bathrooms for each of these two courts, while the offices of the presidents of the court and court would also have protocol spaces, waiting spaces and kitchenettes. According to the plan, department presidents would also have their own offices, but individual offices are also planned for the magistrates who solve cases – 6 individual and 8 for two judges at the court, while 11 individual offices and 7 in to carry out their activity by two judges.

And the first clerk of each court should have an individual office, as well as the chief clerks of departments. Instead, the design theme states that session clerks can work two or four in the office, grouped so that the clerks of the same (same) judge(s) work in the same office, and that office will be located adjacent to the office the judge with whom the respective clerks work.

At the same time, in the future Palace of Justice there will also be a hearing room for minors, to which a viewing room will be added adjacent, from where prosecutors and lawyers will have the opportunity to attend the procedure. The documentation also refers to changing rooms and offices for the gendarmes who provide security, with their own bathroom with shower, a repair shop and civil protection shelters, but also a library or canteen with catering in the basement, possibly even buffet areas- coffee shops, equipped with coffee machines, soft drinks and cold snacks.

It should be noted that the future Palace of Justice in Focșani would have an architectural style similar to the old headquarters where the Vrancea Court and the Focșani Court operated until that building entered rehabilitation.
