Five people will be taken to the hearings

Police officers of the Criminal Investigation Service carried out, on Monday morning, several searches of people in Prahova, accused of fraud and computer forgery. Five people will be taken to the headquarters of the police unit.

On April 29, the police officers of the Criminal Investigation Service of the Prahova County Police Inspectorate executed four home search warrants, on persons investigated for committing crimes of fraud and computer forgery, in Prahova County.

From the research, it emerged that the individuals would have misled several commercial companies, by means of fictitious e-mail addresses, and would have purchased goods, thus creating a damage to them of over 350,000 lei.

5 people will be taken to the headquarters of the police unit for questioning.

In the case, the investigations are continued within a criminal file, opened under the aspect of committing the crimes of fraud and computer forgery.

Specialist support was provided by the Special Operations Department of the Romanian Police.

The actions benefited from the support of the fighters of the Special Actions Service from Prahova and the gendarmes from the “Matei Basarab” Mobile Gendarmerie Group in Ploiești.
