The Territorial Labor Inspectorate issued fines of thousands of euros to auto workshops in Cluj.
The checks took place between April 23 and 26, as part of a campaign organized at the national level, at car services, more precisely the companies with the object of activity “maintenance and repair of motor vehicles”.
On the occasion of this campaign, ITM Cluj carried out checks on a number of 17 employers from Cluj county and contraventional sanctions were applied to two employers, in the total amount of 13,500 lei. The fines were applied for the lack of periodic technical checks and the lack of authorization for the operation of work equipment that falls under the purview of ISCIR, as well as for the lack of collective protection measures at the car repair channel. At four companies, four work equipments were stopped due to the expiration of the ISCIR authorization of these equipments.
Other irregularities for which a number of 9 warnings were given, with measures to remedy the deficiencies with definite deadlines for completion, are the non-wearing of individual protective equipment by all workers, the lack of signatures on the training sheets, expired skills and damaged permanent security signage.
