The local company EXE Software, specialized in the development of software solutions, registered a 9% increase in business last year, thus approaching the threshold of 7 million euros for turnover (about 33.5 million lei), in despite the fact that 2023 was a complicated year for the IT industry, which was marked by restructuring and fiscal changes at the local level. But 2024 is expected to be a better year, with a growing demand locally for software solutions, especially for business intelligence, but also with prospects of attracting new and large clients from abroad, according to Sorin Cosmescu , CEO and shareholder in EXE Software.

“This year we aim for a double-digit growth, over 10%, not a single digit as it was in 2023. We rely a lot on attracting new customers this year both internationally and locally. On a local level, I noticed that in the first three months of this year the market in Romania revived. We have more requests from the local market than from the foreign market, and for us projects for foreign clients generate 85% of the business. At the same time, this year we noticed more requests in the area of ​​business intelligence, where we have a very strong team, in addition to web and mobile development, which means that entrepreneurs and local companies also consider that < > it’s not a simple concept, but they need such solutions to be able to run their business based on data”, he declared during the ZF Tech Day show, explaining also the advantages of using business intelligence solutions for entrepreneurs .

“Practically, with such new solutions we collect information from ERPs (Enterprise Resource Planning software solutions for business management – Ed. no.) and from various other solutions that our client has in the portfolio and after that we expose them in some dashboards, reports, things that help them to run their business more efficiently, to make forecasts, to practically follow the evolution of sales, the evolution of stocks, etc. These are solutions that we have been implementing for a long time for our external partners.

And now we have noticed this request at the local level as well.”

Last year, EXE Software managed to compensate for the stagnation of requests for expansion of projects carried out for existing clients by attracting new clients.

“We opened a collaboration with a very large, external client, which is active in the area of ​​software development. We were involved in a very interesting and very large project.” “An ERP project that deals with the management of industrial buildings, such as nuclear power plants, that is, a very, very large project. It’s a very exciting collaboration for us that started last year. The requirements are very high regarding the quality of the programmers that we have to involve in these projects. We managed to solve this requirement very well and our client is very satisfied. And the idea is that we want to expand this collaboration this year. It was, so to speak, a first collaboration, a test, but we believe that we have passed all the tests and I think we will expand this collaboration”, stated Sorin Cosmescu, adding that in addition to this new collaboration, the company had a series of other projects interesting things started last year or continued from previous years.

“For example, we have developed a platform that includes a powerful mobile component for farmer management. It is a very large client that operates globally and needs raw material that it buys from farmers. And in order to ensure the quality of the products it receives from farmers, it needed solutions to manage this. We were directly involved in this project, we implemented it and it is in the phase where the first evaluations are made and we are waiting to see what will be the continuation of this solution, what new developments or what interventions we need to do.”
