A Romanian sued God, and the prosecutors were finally amazed by the request received, although at first they asked for a criminal investigation.

It is about a man sentenced to 20 hard years in prison, who blamed God for his worldly problems.

According to the case that is still in place of honor in the archives, his baptism constitutes a contract with God whereby, in exchange for prayers, the latter undertakes to keep the plaintiff away from evil. Moreover, the detainee accused the Creator of bribery and fraud and demanded back the money spent on candles and services, because they had no effect. But forget that a contract requires commitments from both parties. Of the 10 commandments, he also broke many.

Through my baptism at the church, a contract was made with the defendant God to remove the devil from me and keep me out of trouble. So far, the defendant has not honored his contract. On the contrary, he demanded and received from me various goods and prayers in exchange for the forgiveness of sins“, the prisoner writes in his “criminal” complaint. “So far, the defendant has not honored his contract. On the contrary, he claimed and received from me during his life various goods and prayers in exchange for the forgiveness of sins and the promise that I will get rid of troubles and have a better life. Through my baptism at the church, a contract was made with God to remove the devil from me and keep me out of trouble. So far, the defendant has not honored his contract. On the contrary, he demanded and received from me various goods and prayers in exchange for the forgiveness of sins“, it is stated in the complaint signed by Mircea Pavel.

The paradox is that such a request, for unknown reasons, was taken seriously. A prosecutor sent the complaint to the police, with a precise recommendation: “Check if a crime has been committed! The first reaction of the police: “It will be resolved according to the legal framework”. Commissioner Spataru put an end to the madness only after he appeared in the press: “We will propose the dismissal of the file”. “This man is suing his own life. All we can do is pray for his health“, says a representative of the Church.

Furthermore, the case in which God was sued by a detainee from Timişoara was closed by the prosecutors, who ordered that the criminal investigation not be started. Prosecutors’ argument: The creator is not a real person and has no domicile.
