The festive meal is accompanied by lamb roast, a traditional dish that is not missing from many kitchens, on the occasion of Easter.

Here’s how to prepare a delicious and juicy roast lamb, perfect to enjoy with your loved ones.

Ingredients:

1 piece of lamb (about 2-3 kg)
6 cloves of garlic, crushed
The juice of a large lemon
2 tablespoons of olive oil
2 tablespoons of mustard
2 spoons of honey
2 tablespoons of dried oregano
2 tablespoons of dried rosemary
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 180°C.
In a large bowl, whisk together the crushed garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, mustard, honey, oregano, and rosemary. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
Place the piece of lamb in a heatproof dish or baking tray. Brush the meat with the previously prepared mixture, making sure it is evenly coated.
Cover the pan with aluminum foil and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.
After marinating, remove the pan from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for 30 minutes.
Remove the aluminum foil and place the pan in the preheated oven. Bake the lamb roast for about 2-3 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily falls off the bone.
During cooking, pour the sauce from the pan over the meat from time to time to keep it juicy and intensify the flavor.
Once done, remove the lamb roast from the oven and let it rest for about 15-20 minutes before slicing.
Cut the lamb steak into generous slices and serve with your favorite side dish and a fresh salad.
