The Minister of the Family, Natalia Intotero, had an intervention, on Antena 3 CNN, in the case of the child from Gorj who was allegedly sold in Germany.

“I went yesterday to make sure that the brothers of the minor who are now in Germany are well taken care of by the Romanian state through the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection. Together with the director of DGASPC Gorj, I traveled yesterday to meet with them It’s about a two-and-a-half-year-old girl. I’ve been in the presence of psychologists. I’ve made sure that they are and will continue to be very well taken care of.

It is a file instrumented by DIICOT. DIICOT was notified by DGASPC, following a request from the National Authority for the Protection of Child Rights and Adoption, coming from the social protection authorities in Germany to provide more data regarding the situation of the minor in question in Romania,” said Natalia Intotero, Minister of the Family, live on Antena 3 CNN.

The DIICOT prosecutors have opened an investigation in this case and are trying to find out how the minor was taken out of the country, what documents were used for this transaction and with the involvement of which officials, because it would be a case of a false power of attorney.

At the same time, there are accusations that the little boy was sold by his father for the sum of 8,000 lei.

“There are several speculations in this regard. What I can tell you is that the state authorities, through DGASPC and through DIICOT, reacted promptly and I want to thank those from DIICOT for their involvement, for their seriousness and professionalism.

Also, what I can tell you is that next week the president of the National Authority for the Protection of Children’s Rights will make an emergency trip to Germany where he will discuss with the German authorities with a view to the repatriation of the minor who now it is in their care”, Natalia Intotero, the Minister of the Family, also specified.
