“The world belongs to those who read!”

Under this prompt to reading, the Department of Art and Audio-Visual Information within Bucovina Library “IG Sbiera” Suceava launches the “A gift book” project.

This new action marks the National Library Week and gives the people of Sucevan the opportunity to donate books to institutionalized children or from disadvantaged families.

The books will turn into a special June 1st gift.

In this way, the people of Sucevan become part of an approach that promotes books and reading, but also generosity, civic spirit and involvement in community life.
Donated volumes must be new or in very good condition and aimed at primary and secondary school students. They can be geographical atlases, collections, school literature books, story books or general culture books.

They can be brought to the Art and Audio-Visual Information Section of the Bucovina “IG Sbiera” Suceava Library (section located on the first floor of building A of the library’s central headquarters, on Mitropoliei Street no. 4), during the period 24 April – 31 May 2024.

“Thank you in advance to all those who will support us in this endeavor!”, said the director of the Bucovina Library “IG Sbiera” Suceava, Gabriel Cărăbuș.
