A truck driver is fine after destroying a gauge gate in Prahova. The driver did not take into account the height of the van and forced the passage under the metal construction. He didn’t stop even when, behind him, the gauge gate collapsed. Reported by the journalists from Observatorul Prahovean, the police announced that they have opened an investigation and are now looking for the driver.
The incident took place on Wednesday, in Valea Călugărească commune, on the bridge that crosses the Teleajen river, where vehicle access is only allowed after passing through a gauge gate.
The driver of a truck did not take into account the metal construction and forced his way under it. The moment was captured by another driver, who witnessed the incident:

In the images filmed by the driver who was driving behind the truck, it can be seen that, following the impact, the metal construction was put on the ground. The truck driver, however, continued on his way, as if nothing had happened.
The images published by journalists from the Prahovean Observatory also reached the police, who announced that they had opened an investigation in this case.
“Regarding the issues in question, at this moment, the police are carrying out checks in order to identify and detect the driver and establish the factual situation, legal measures will be taken accordingly”, the representatives of IPJ Prahova sent to the quoted source.
After being identified and detected, the guilty driver will be fined. After years of being forgotten by the authorities, in the spring of last year, the Pantazi bridge was completely renovated, the cited source also writes.
