A 44-year-old man from Câmpia commune, Olt county, threatened to commit suicide in the Schitu forest on Wednesday, April 24. The alarm was given by the employee of a commercial company.
Policemen, gendarmes and ISU Olt employees searched for the man, who was found in the forest in Schitu commune.
“On April 24 this year, at around 10:00 p.m., the policemen of the Schitu Police Station were alerted by a man, an employee of a commercial company, from Schitu commune, Olt county, regarding the fact that a man came to his workplace and allegedly told him that he intended to commit suicide in the forest in Schitu commune.
The police officers of the Rural Police Department no. 8 Perieți, who, from the first checks, established the identity of the man who allegedly threatened to commit suicide, as a 44-year-old man from Crîmpoia commune, Olt county. Immediately, search teams were formed, in this sense, being requested the support of the Olt County Gendarmerie Inspectorate, respectively of the Olt Emergency Situations Inspectorate. Following the search activities, the police officers of the Rural Police Section no. 8 Brushes identified the man in the forest in the Schitu commune. During the time he was missing, the man was not the victim of any crime”, says a press release from IPJ Olt.
