The artesian fountain reopens, on Saturday, for a new tourist season!

The spectacular artesian fountain located on the Ivan Patzaichin Cliff in the municipality will be reopened at the end of this week. The inauguration of the new operating season of one of the main points of attraction in the city will take place in an event organized by the “Jean Bart” Cultural Center and supported by the Tulcea County Council, the representatives of the Tulcea CJ say.

In anticipation of the International Dance Day, celebrated on April 29, an artistic moment will be organized, with hundreds of dancers, who will present games of national minorities and Romanian games. Along with the inauguration of a new light and music scenario for the artesian fountain, the organizers also announce a series of surprises for the participants.

Thus, the people of Tulcena are invited to the cliff on Saturday, April 27, starting at 6:30 p.m., with the opening of the fountain scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m.

As part of the project to modernize the city’s waterfront, the County Council sought to set up a meeting space for Tulceni and tourists, which would offer not only walking options, but also a visual and sound show, which children can equally enjoy and adults. With water games synchronized to various musical rhythms, highlighted by colorful, dynamically changing lights, the artesian fountain quickly became a landmark for the city’s residents and a favorite place to spend leisure time in the evenings of the warm season.

“When I started the waterfront rehabilitation project, I wanted to create a place for all Tulceans, to bring the community together. After the inauguration, the response of the people exceeded my expectations and I am glad that this space has turned from one we were ashamed of into a landmark of the city. I’m glad that we manage, together with the warm weather and the holidays, to reopen the artesian fountain so that we, and the tourists who cross our threshold during this period, can enjoy this show”, said Horia Teodorescu, the president Tulcea County Council.

The reopening of the artesian fountain is not the only event that the people of Tulcena can enjoy this weekend. On Friday, April 26, starting at 10:00 a.m., the “Danube Delta” International Airport is organizing the Open Doors Day event, during which there will be an aerial acrobatics show, supported by the Hawks of Romania, as well as technical exhibitions military and vintage cars.
