Star Taxi, one of the first Romanian mobile taxi applications, developed by a local company, expands its services in Galaţi, Arad, Craiova and Timișoara, being currently available in over 25 cities nationwide. In Galati, as in all other cities where it is present, Star Taxi will be a direct competitor to Uber and Bolt and an indirect competitor to classic taxi drivers. Unlike the first two, Star Taxi does not have dynamic rates.
According to the company, users have the opportunity to select the desired payment option – card, cash or the corporate option, dedicated to companies and through which they can ensure transport settled for employees.
The average Star Taxi driver rating is over 4.85, with a ride honesty percentage of over 90%. They are constantly monitored as their rating changes and can be kicked out if they don’t improve their services. Drivers with a high rating also get more visibility and are assigned to customer orders more often.
The Star Taxi app currently employs over 25,000 taxi drivers nationwide and has over 3.5 million downloads from Google Play or the App Store.
