Flower Sunday at the ASTRA Museum. Traditions and culinary delights at the Country Fair

Palm Sunday is celebrated in traditional style at the ASTRA Museum in Dumbrava Sibiului, where a series of special events will take place on April 28, 2024, between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

The country fair in the open-air Museum will host gastronomic workshops dedicated to traditional recipes from the Danube Delta, such as morun sorghum and carp brine. Visitors will have the opportunity to taste these delicacies starting at 13:00 and until the available portions are exhausted.

Also, the open-air Museum will offer an authentic experience of traditional life, and on this day of celebration, visitors are invited to attend the Holy Liturgy that will take place at the Bezded Church starting at 10:30. After that, they can enjoy the fish dishes served at the Country Fair starting at 13:00.

In the spirit of tradition, visitors are encouraged to bring willow to the triplets in the museum, symbols of the faith of our ancestors who watch over local history and traditions.
