The “Danube Delta” International Airport was recently inaugurated and is the second airport of this type in Dobrogea, next to Mihail Kogălniceanu in Constanta. A new terminal was built and now even more people can be received.

“This terminal is equipped with all facilities for processing passengers, it complies with Schengen and non-Schengen standards. So we have two Schengen and non-Schengen terminals, a mobile bridge.
This mobile bridge is not useful because the Schengen space regulations require us that between an aircraft operating in Schengen and one operating non-Schengen there must be a minimum distance of 200m”, says Stoian Vâlcu, director of Tulcea Airport.

We mention the fact that the total value of the investment was 180 million lei and lasted two years. Although the airport currently has no flight contract, the fact that Schengen rules are respected could change things soon.
