The specialists of the Cluj Water Management System (SGA) continue to intervene to limit the effects of the Someșul Mic river pollution.
Thus, they supplemented the absorbent material. At the same time, it also uses spill sorb, a natural and biodegradable absorbent for retaining hydrocarbons.
At the same time, we identified the source of the pollution. This comes from the site of the Multipurpose Hall and was caused by a road train that was stationed in the area.
Considering that both the objective where the pollution originates, as well as the fact that the transport of pollutants to the river is done through the rainwater network, both of which are under the administration of the Cluj-Napoca City Hall, SGA Cluj requested the local administration to urgently intervene with the materials and means specific, so that the discharge of hydrocarbons is stopped.
The discharge of hydrocarbon waters causes damage to the aquatic environment, due to the chemical composition of these highly toxic organic compounds.
The effect of accidental spills is local and no fish mortality has been observed.
