This evening, when we celebrate the Resurrection of the Lord, the Sibiu policemen will pay special attention to the safety of citizens in the area of ​​places of worship, where, together with the Sibiu gendarmes, they will support and guide the faithful who will participate in the religious services.

More than 130 policemen are on duty to ensure order and public safety, with the aim of maintaining order and public peace.

“We recommend that the movement to the churches should be carried out avoiding crowds and respecting all traffic rules, so as to prevent the occurrence of any unwanted events”, informed IPJ Sibiu officials.

At the level of the municipality of Sibiu, special attention will be paid to the central area, the flow of people and cars to and from the Sibiu Metropolitan Cathedral. Also, in the area of ​​the ASTRA Sibiu Museum Complex, road crews will be mobilized to ensure the flow of traffic on Resurrection Night.

Similar road traffic streamlining measures are in place at the level of each municipal and city police unit.

On all public roads, the traffic police will act to combat the main causes of road accidents, but also to streamline traffic.

“In case of emergency or if you have witnessed or are aware of the commission of any anti-social act, notify the nearest police officer or call 112 – the Single Emergency Call”, the police say.
